Insofern wären die Ausgeben folgender Befehle hilfreich:
/sbin/ifconfig -a cat /etc/resolv.conf /sbin/route -n
...und dann natürlich eine Kostprobe von dem ping sowie eine von "dem Client, der nicht erreicht werden kann." Wenn sich daraus nichts ergibt, wird nochmal ein tcpdump fällig, aber dazu mehr, wenn es soweit ist.
