They do, but upstream GCC currently has a problem or two (there are
PRs open for that) so it won't actually be useful :)

Sure! Always'n'ever! Let's have a look at the TODO list:
(1) Fix http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=30563
(2) Check if uClibc still builds (depends on (1).)
(3) Implement TLS section handling in Binutils.
(4) Implement TLS handling in GCC.
(5) Hack glibc (probably depends on (3) and (4).)
(6) Redo our ABI (ie. drop all the non-LFS stuff from glibc;
drop all no-longer-needed 32bit syscalls from kernel's syscall
list, check the *stat64() functions and the kernel and userland
stat buffer; finally recompile the userland)
