Sure, lets simply do that on-list.
Since there aren't all that many registers in a VAX CPU (16, with 4
having a fixed meaning etc.), there aren't that manyoptions for an
implementation I guess. So I guess we'll need a function call for
referencing TLS variables.
For GCC, there was a generic TLS implementation, which was IIRC ripped
out later on (doe to being introduced late in a release cycle and
additionally shipping some bugs...). That would probably helpful in
some way, but there are already some other archs comparable to
VAX implementing TLS with GCC, so there are some examples available :)
And I'd search for the PIC patch which was IIRC posted to the NetBSD
mailing list. Currnet Linux userland isn't so much fun without shared
libs, and we'd probably start with that :)
