Doing "make ARCH=vax vmlinux.dsk" should produce a kernel image
that you can dd to a disk.  At one point, I had a VS3100m76 or
VS4000/60 with the SCSI bus extended to a host adapter in my
Linux x86 PC.  I used to copy the kernel to an internal disk
in the VAX and successfully boot from it.

Obviously, don't do this on a disk with data that you care about!
