Seagate e-SATA Controller und externe Platte

      Hallo,

laufen die Seagate e-SATA Platten (Seagate ST3500601XS-RK 500 GB
inkl. eSATA Controller) wohl unter Linux?

Mir waere das lieber als USB, insbesondere wenn der smartctl die
Platte monitoren koennte.

Gibt es Probleme mit dem e-SATA Chip?
