Dafuer verschickst Du alle Antworten sowohl an die Liste als aauch an die
bisher beteiligten Leute im Thread. (siehe auch .sig)

mutt kann Ümläute durchaus auf der Linux-Textconsole richtig darstellen.

Wenn ich mir meine Config so anschaue finde ich in der .muttrc:

set allow_8bit
set use_8bitmime

ausserdem habe ich auf der Shell noch

MM_CHARSET=iso-8859-1

gesetzt. (sollte man da nicht mittlerweile iso-8859-14 nehmen?)

Why I do not use PINE: PINE is a mailer, too. When I want to use a mailer,
then I use just that.  No need to incorporate everything into one program.
If I wanted that then I'd use a different operating system, like netscape or
