Debconf - Auswahl des Frontends

Hallo!

Ich hab' einen Rechner recht "händisch" installiert (alle Dateien aus
den .deb's auspacken, booten über Netz, .deb's dann Stück für Stück
richtig installiert). Leider habe ich jetzt das Problem, daß debconf
anscheinend entweder garkein Frontend hat (und garnichts fragt), oder
das zumindest derart "noninteractive" ist, daß keine Fragen bei
der Installation neuer Pakete gestellt werden.

Hat jemand Einblick in die Debconf-Frontend-Konfiguration? Ich hab'
gesucht, bin gescheitert...
