Sieht eher nach einem Problem mit den serial ports aus bei dir. Schau
mal in die /etc/serial.conf. Ich hab da (ganz unten) drin stehen:
/dev/tts/0 uart 16550A port 0x03f8 irq 4 baud_base 115200 spd_normal skip_test

Das device heißt bei dir wahrscheinlich /dev/ttyS0 oder so, aber
der Rest der Zeile sollte der gleiche sein. Die Datei wird von
/etc/init.d/setserial geparst (...was du hoffentlich drauf hast,
ansonsten apt-get install setserial).
