Das ist schwierig. Anscheinend findet er den MBR. Nur root
ist zu dem Zeitpunkt noch nicht /dev/sda1. (Dazu müßtest Du
nämlich usb-storage, usbcore, usb-uhci, sd_mod, scsi_mod,
vfat, fat in dem Kernel haben, den Du gerade bootest.
Möglicherweise geht das mit initrd. Das kannst Du ja mal
probieren. An dem Ergebnis wäre ich interessiert.
