Linux auf SUN Blade 100 (SPARC)

Gute Idee. Ich hatte auch für Ubuntu gesucht aber auf Anhieb nur i386 und
amd64 Versionen gefunden, aber Ubuntu (Server) gibt es tatsächlich auch für
SPARC, sogar mit einem sehr aktuellen Kernel 2.6.24. Ich habe folgendes
Image vom 23.04.2008 genommen:

Leider erfolglos. Nach wenigen Zeilen hängt es auch hier:

Beim etwas älterem Image vom 14.04.2008 sieht der Bootvorgang genauso aus:

Das noch ältere "dapper" (SILO 1.4.10 und Linux 2.6.15) steigt wieder mit
"Bogus PROM assignment" aus. Ebenso ein SPARC Image vom T2-project. Linux
auf gewissen älteren SPARC scheint gar nicht so einfach zu sein. Ich hatte
aber vor mehreren Jahren ein SuSE auf einer SUN Ultra5 laufen.
