libapache2-mod-fcgid + CGI::Fast

Hi,
ich habe obige kombination am laufen und habe das problem das das ganze
idle shutdown nicht funktioniert - ich bekomme da laut apache error log
im fcgi signals die ich aber nie bekomme. Ausserdem sagt die CGI::Fast 
doku das der call fuer new CGI::Fast ein undef zurueckliefert fuer
einen shutdown - Tuts aber nicht.

Ist da schonmal jemand drueber gestolpert?
