[LV] Status of the toolchain build scripts?

Hi all,
is there any chance of getting a quick status on the toolchain build scripts?
I have decided to once again delurk and try to see if I can extract enough
free time to do some hacking, but getting the initial toolchain going is
slightly cumbersome :-)
Aside from a couple of small and easily fixable bugs caused by things being
outdated (name of CVS server as mentioned on How-To-Get-Started web page;
version of MPFR wget'ed by scripts) I have bumped into the more serious issue
that the vax-dec-linux-uclibc target tuple is not supported by the GCC 4.3.0
that the scripts check out.
Is this as intended, have I screwed up in obtaining some patches or is there
another reason? Any suggestions for how to get around this problem would be
much appreciated as my Vaxen are itching for a freshly built kernel...
Best regards and thanks
Mikkel Lauritsen
