I have uploaded some newer RPM packages, including a full version of the
i386 cross-compiler (FP support in the Java port may not work), more
cross-development libraries, and some native VAX programs (including a
native compiler that does not work ;) ) built with that stuff to my FTP
site. Get them from:

ftp://ftp.linux-mips.org/pub/linux/mips/people/macro/RPMS/i386/vax-linux-*
ftp://ftp.linux-mips.org/pub/linux/mips/people/macro/RPMS/vax/*

-- respective sources are at:

ftp://ftp.linux-mips.org/pub/linux/mips/people/macro/SRPMS/

I had no time to post a proper announcement, sorry. I'll post something
when I am back to this project.

Note that the environment is still rather unstable; in particular, as
mentioned above, the native compiler segfaults on any program, but it's
certainly a progress to have one builing at all. I'm not sure how I'm
going to tackle it yet -- I'll probably just build native `gdbserver'
(verifying kernel ptrace(2) support as well as gdbserver's bindings) and
then debug this with a cross-debugger, as the system is probably still too
fragile for such a heavyweight program as native GDB to get anywhere.

Have fun! Patches are welcome if you fix something yourself too. :)

  Maciej
